What I absolutely loved was the experience in Frankfurt, Germany, while boarding the flight for the USA.

Passengers go through the usual security screening when entering the security area of the airport. Then passengers who are boarding USA-bound flights have to endure another more detailed screening, and it involves a really long lineup. This is because the TSA insists on additional screenings for USA-bound passengers. Apparently the screening that is used for all other passengers isn't good enough.

Anyway, what is really sweet about this big lineup and the frustration it causes is being able to say to people in the lineup -- "this is what you get for voting for Bush." Zing!

You had a good experience with the TSA! I regularly travel to the states for conferences etc. and you wouldn't believe how often I spend 10 minutes explaining to them just what it is I'm doing. Bleh.
