hey i have a fido pay as u go sim card and iunno if it will work like my iphone is hacked but iunno how to unlock or what to downlode from cydia so it can read the sim card

I don't know if it is or not, I bought it in the Rogers store and am not on any plan (other than the $10/month for texts but I own the phone). I just want to be able to text, do the occasional call, wifi, and apps, I don't need the rediculously overpriced 3G. I don't have an iPhone yet as I can't afford the monthly plans. Should I get an iPhone and try my own SIM or just buy a Speak Out SIM? I DO NOT want to get hit with secret 3G charges so maybe I should just get a Speak Out SIM? When I was in a Rogers store a few months ago they said I could buy it on pay as you go and they could block the 3G for me but then I went to another Rogers and they said they couldn't block the 3G? This is making me want the Speak Out SIM more and more.

Hi MiG

I have a Sony Ericsson W350i that I bought outright from Rogers for like $350. And then I have the thing where I buy $100 cards for it and Rogers takes off $10 a month and I get 2500 text messages per month. So if I took my SIM out of this phone and put it in an iPhone would I still get the 2500 texts a month for $10? Would it work where I still buy $100 cards to top up every 10 months or so?

Made it work. Just have to disable 3G in iPhone

I recently bought Rogers locked iPhone 3GS (firmware version 3.1.2) and replaced Rogers SIM with speakout SIM card. But I am not able to make outgoing call from iPhone though the incoming calls are okay. Do you know any such issue with this firmware.

I just added the unlimited internet for 7 bucks through Speak Out on my iPhone 3G, but it doesn't work.

I've followed this site to add a profile that worked for him, but no luck.
