I basically need a fast connection. Is this possible with the system set up i have?

Situation, There is apparently this new feature that allows BB to be used on prepaid, but i am not a fan of BB, i love the iphone, and i don't want to change my number (i've had it for 4 years now), and not old enough.. yet, to go to a contract, is there any ways around the telus prepaid, that i can use an iphone, with the sim i have already ? and am i allowed to use the iphone 4? Also heard about the eligibility to change my number over to rogers, but i don't want to do that.. then have problems and then i lose it forever.

I'm thinking of doing this for the iPhone 4S.

What are the drawbacks? SpeakOut lists "unlimited browsing," but I've heard not all websites work, and all mail is blocked, except Gmail/Hotmail. I also heard some apps that use data are blocked. Is this true?
